The DC-DC converter is a type of switching power supply that converts direct currents of buslines into direct currents that are needed for devices. TDK has a lineup of DC-DC converters under the TDK-Lambda brand for the industrial equipment market boasting high-reliability and long service life made possible with advanced circuit designing technology and high-density mounting technology. The lineup of DC-DC converters by TDK-Lambda also includes isolated and non-isolated types to meet various applications along with onboard, power module and unit types and a wide range of industry-standard sizes from brick-shaped to inch-sized.

Certified to the IEC 60601-1 and IEC 62368-1 standards for Medical and Audio/Video, Information and Communication Technology Equipment, the PXG Medical series is housed in the industry standard 1.6” x 1” DIP package. Featuring an input to output isolation voltage of 5,000Vac and accepting either a 9 to 36Vdc or 18 to 75Vdc input, the PXG Medical series is available with output voltages of 5, 12, 15, 24, +/- 5, +/- 12 and +/- 15Vdc. Operation from 12V and 24V, or 24V and 48V nominal inputs reduces inventory carrying costs and improves part availability.
