The DC-DC converter is a type of switching power supply that converts direct currents of buslines into direct currents that are needed for devices. TDK has a lineup of DC-DC converters under the TDK-Lambda brand for the industrial equipment market boasting high-reliability and long service life made possible with advanced circuit designing technology and high-density mounting technology. The lineup of DC-DC converters by TDK-Lambda also includes isolated and non-isolated types to meet various applications along with onboard, power module and unit types and a wide range of industry-standard sizes from brick-shaped to inch-sized.

The isolated PH-A DC-DC converters have output power levels of 50W, 75W, 100W, 150W, 300W, 600W and 1,200W and accept a wide 200 to 425Vdc input. The range is available with multiple output voltages; 3.3V, 5V, 12V, 15V, 24V, 28V, 36V and 48V. For non-standard outputs, they feature a wide adjustment range of up to -60% to +20%. All models feature remote sense and remote on/off and can be conduction cooled to a cold plate or mounted with optional heatsinks. The PH-A models have efficiencies of up to 94% and can operate with baseplate temperatures of up to -40 to +100°C for use in harsh environments. Applications include custom power supplies, high voltage DC distributed power architecture systems in high power semiconductor test equipment, plus data communications, power transmission, industrial and renewable energy.
