This product is a 1 mil polyimide tape with an acrylic adhesive, designed for high-temperature applications such as the insulation of coils, capacitors, and motors. It features a total thickness of 2.3 mils, with the adhesive layer measuring 1.3 mils and the polyimide film at 1.0 mil. The tape operates effectively within a wide temperature range, up to 400¬8F (204¬8C), and offers excellent electrical insulation, as well as superior resistance to puncture, tear, and abrasion. The adhesive exhibits a peel adhesion strength of 32 oz/in and a tensile strength of 23 lbs/in, with an elongation of 60%. It also has a dielectric strength of 6800 volts. The tape is amber in color and meets UL-94V0 standards. For optimal performance, it should be applied to clean surfaces, and it has a shelf life of one year when stored properly.
