Tape, 4.6M X 152.4Mm, Pi Film, Amber, is a polyimide tape featuring a silicone adhesive, designed for high-temperature masking applications. It has a total thickness of 3.5 mils, with a film thickness of 2.0 mils and an adhesive thickness of 1.5 mils. The tape operates effectively within a temperature range of -40¬8F to 500¬8F and provides excellent electrical insulation, making it suitable for various applications including the protection of gold fingers on printed circuit boards during soldering processes and as a release surface in high-temperature part fabrication. The tape is thin and conformable, allowing it to mask uneven surfaces easily. It adheres well to steel with a strength of 25 oz/inch and has a break strength of 50 lbs/in. Additionally, it boasts a dielectric strength of 11,000 volts and an elongation of 60%. The tape removes cleanly without leaving adhesive residue after exposure to heat or chemicals. It meets UL-94V0 standards and has a shelf life of one year when stored properly.
