The STCS05ADR is a BiCMOS constant current LED driver designed to deliver a maximum output current of 0.5 A with a precision of ±10%. It operates with input voltages ranging from 4.5 V to 40 V and features a low voltage overhead of less than 0.5 V. The current can be adjusted using an external resistor, and the device includes a dedicated pin for PWM dimming, allowing for flexible brightness control. An external capacitor can be used to set the current rise time, which helps reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI). Additionally, the STCS05ADR provides an open-drain output for load disconnection diagnostics, enhancing reliability in applications. This LED driver is suitable for low voltage lighting and small appliance LED lighting applications.
