The PM8800ATR is a Power Over Ethernet (PoE) controller that complies with the IEEE 802.3af standard, designed for powered devices requiring higher power levels. It features an integrated PoE-PD interface and a current mode PWM controller, allowing it to operate with power supplied from Ethernet LAN cables or external sources. The device includes a hot-swap MOSFET rated for 100 V and 800 mA, along with programmable features such as in-rush current limit, classification current, and DC current limit. It also incorporates thermal shutdown protection, a high voltage start-up bias regulator, and a power good indication.
