The L98SI is an octal low-side solenoid driver designed for industrial applications, utilizing Multipower-BCD technology. It features eight low RDS(on) DMOS outputs capable of driving lamps, relays, and solenoids with a nominal load current of 500mA and a current limiting set to a minimum of 1.05A. The device operates with a logic supply voltage of 5V and communicates via an 8-bit Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) for data transmission. Key functionalities include output status monitoring for overload and open circuit conditions, output short circuit protection, and internal clamping for each output set at approximately 36V. The L98SI also has a low quiescent current of 10mA maximum and is packaged in a PowerSO20 format. Its operational temperature range is from -40¬8C to 150¬8C, making it suitable for various environmental conditions.
