The ESS 076 is a three-phase smart current sensor that measures AC currents without contact via through-type transformers, outputting results through a 4-20 mA analog interface and an IO-Link digital interface, while internally calculating power and energy. It accepts conductor diameters up to 11.4 mm, operates on 24 V DC with a power consumption of 1 W, and supports frequencies of 50 or 60 Hz with a measurement range of 0 A to 100 A and a tolerance of ±0.5 A or ±1.5 A. The device features IP30 protection, is housed in a UL94 V-0 plastic casing, and mounts via a 35 mm DIN rail clip or screw fixing. It has a height of 70 mm, width of 82 mm, depth of 49.5 mm, weighs 200 g, operates from -40 °C to 70 °C, and uses a shielded M12 4-pin A-coded connector.
The ESS 076 (3-phase) smart current sensor measures three-phase alternating current without contact. The three current conductors are fed through the openings of the through-type transformers. The measured current is processed digitally. It is output either via the analog output or via the IO-Link interface. Power and energy are calculated internally. These values are also output via the IO-Link interface.
