SPIROL Series DP100 Straight Pins are solid, headless pins designed for press-fit applications in materials that can withstand compression of 0.05mm to 0.08mm (0.002″ to 0.003″). They feature chamfered ends for reliable automated installation and are retained by compressing the host material, not the pin. Available in nominal diameters from 0.078″ to 0.250″ and lengths up to 2.000″, with a length tolerance of ±0.010″. Made from low carbon steel or stainless steel, with plain or passivated finishes. Chamfer size is a minimum of 0.005″ to 0.015″ depending on diameter.

• On helical knurled pins, a 30° knurl causes the pin to rotate as it enters the hole creating more surface contact with the host. This results in higher friction forces, greater engagement and improved resistance to back out.
• The pin should always be harder than the host. If additional hardness is required to keep the knurls from shearing, the pins can be case hardened if .125” (3 mm) or larger.
