Sotcher Measurement, Inc. Ground 566

Description
The 566 is a ground tester from Sotcher Measurement. Additional Features: Input Voltage: 120VAC, 60Hz Dielectric Voltage: 0-2,500VAC standard Dielectric Trip Limit: 5.0 mAAC, +/-5% standard; 1.0 mADC, +/-5% (option 40568 0-2,500 VDC output) Ground Continuity: Approximately 12 VAC, 120 mA Dielectric Transformer: 50 VA Meters Accuracies: +/-3% Dimensions: 5.5 inches high, 12 inches wide, 10 inches Deep The Sotcher Model 566 combines both the Ground Continuity and Hi-Pot tests into a single tester. This is full featured tester, priced right, bringing state of the art technology to the testing of electrical products. Corded, uncorded and components can all be tested with the probe option 40561. Available options allow you test with up to 5,000 VAC or 2,500 VDC. This tester performs the same functions as models sold by other companies but at a much lower price and without the complex features that confuse production employees. Hi-pot (hi pot, hipot or flash) testers and dielectric strength testers are typically used to perform electrical safety testing on components and products to insure that they comply with the safety requirements of UL, CSA, TUV and other standard certifying bodies. Easy to Operate The push of one button verifies both ground wire continuity and dielectric strength. Adjustable Output Voltage Adjustable over the range of 0-2,500 volts AC (or upto 5,000 VAC or 2,500 VDC with available options). The output voltage is displayed on a kilovolt meter. Direct Reading Leakage Meter Fault current is displayed on a 0-10 milliamp meter (or optional 0-1.0 milliamp meter) allowing the operator to detect marginal products. Ground Wire Continuity Verification Product's ground wire continuity can be selected ON or OFF and verified prior and durning dialectric test. Test Duration Timer Test Duration of 1 second, 60 seconds or continuous is selectable on rear panel. Automatic Shut Down Excessive leakage, dielectric flash over or ground continuity failure causes automatic shutdown of the output test voltage. Visual and Audible Alarms Both visual and audible alarms alert the operator of an out of tolerance condition. The reset button must be pushed to continue the operation. Fast Response The tester uses a fast response detection circuit to detect even short duration arcs or breakdowns that might occur. Once a fault is detected, the test circuit opens within milliseconds. Meets UL's 120K Ohm Test The UL 120K Ohm test requirement can be verified by using the built-in test button on front panel. Built, Sold and Serviced in the U.S. For over four decades Sotcher Measurement, Inc. has provided latest state-of-the-art electrical test equipment that is easy to use and maintain. Our customers rely on our products to verify the safety of the electrical devices they rent, use or manufacture. We feel this commitment very deeply. In response, we do our utmost to insure that the products we offer are of the highest quality and performance, consistent with good value.
