PW Series The Ault PW180KB4800N01 is a single power injector for Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) applications with 10baseT and 100baseT systems. The PW180KB4800N01 provides power to devices through RJ45 jacks and data over a single Ethernet cable. This compact, self-contained device provides an efficient and cost-effective solution to systems designers confronting the need for additional electrical outlets or the placement of network access points. Through PoE technology, devices such as IP phones, wireless network access points, HVAC thermostats, security cameras, PDAs, cell phones, RFID tag readers and gaming equipment can be powered using the Ault PW180 family. Since PoE carries both power and data over a single Ethernet cable, the application is powered through the same cable it already uses to communicate. The Ault PW180KB powers equipment up to 15.4 watts and is IEEE 802.3af compliant, which protects against power being applied to a non-802.3af-complian t load. The power injector recognizes a signature before enabling full output power. It also protects against more than one power supply per cable, regardless of polarity. The PW180 complies with EMI/RFI regulations, is CE compliant, and meets safety approvals.
