The SI5338A-B01449-GM is a quad clock generator from Quarktwin Technology Ltd. that utilizes low power MultiSynth,Ñ¢ technology to provide independent, any-frequency synthesis on four differential output drivers. It supports PCIe Gen 1/2/3/4 Common Clock and Gen 3 SRNS compliance, making it suitable for high-speed applications. The device features highly configurable output drivers capable of delivering up to four differential outputs, eight single-ended clock outputs, or a combination of both, with a low phase jitter of 0.7 ps RMS typical. The clock generator allows for flexible input references, supporting external crystals from 8 to 30 MHz, CMOS inputs from 5 to 200 MHz, and differential inputs up to 710 MHz. Each output can be independently configured for various signal formats, including LVPECL, LVDS, HCSL, CMOS, and SSTL/HSTL, with voltage options of 1.5, 1.8, 2.5, or 3.3 V. The device also features an independent frequency increment/decrement capability for glitchless adjustments and independent phase adjustments with <20 ps accuracy. With a small 4x4 mm QFN package, the SI5338A-B01449-GM operates on a single supply core with excellent power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) and has a wide temperature range of -40 to +85 ¬8C. It is programmable via an I2C/SMBus-compatible interface, and the ClockBuilder Pro software simplifies device configuration.
