The STA801M is a dual-output DC-DC switching regulator from Quarktwin Technology Ltd., designed for step-down voltage regulation. It features two regulators in a compact inline package, each capable of delivering up to 0.5A of output current. The output voltage for the second channel is selectable from four levels: 9.0V, 11.5V, 12.1V, and 15.5V. The device includes a built-in flywheel Schottky diode, overcurrent and thermal protection circuits, and soft start functionality, which enhances reliability and performance. The STA801M operates within a DC input voltage range of 10V to 30V and has an operating temperature range of -40¬8C to +125¬8C. It requires only seven discrete components for operation, making it suitable for applications such as antenna power supplies and stabilization of secondary stages in switching power supplies. The internal reference oscillator operates at 125kHz, allowing for a reduction in choke-coil size compared to conventional devices.
