The APS11500 is a two-wire planar Hall-effect switch designed for automotive safety systems, complying with ASIL A under ISO 26262 as a hardware safety element out-of-context. It operates from 3 to 24 V, withstands junction temperatures up to 175°C, and exceeds AEC-Q100 Grade 0 requirements. The device includes integrated reverse-battery protection, a 40 V load-dump clamp, and an internal voltage regulator, enabling direct battery connection. The APS11500LLHALT-0SL1C is a variant in the series that uses a 3-pin SOT23-W surface-mount package, has a unipolar south-sensing magnetic response, a switch threshold magnitude of 50 to 110 G for BOP and 45 to 105 G for BRP, and a supply current range of 2 to 5 mA. It features internal diagnostics, a defined safe state, and enhanced EMC/ESD immunity. The package does not include integrated passive components.
