The Socket 2.54mm Vertical Through Hole, 34 Position (part number 97P3720) is a low-profile machined socket strip designed for board-to-board applications. It features a double row configuration with a pitch spacing of 2.54mm and is compatible with various mating connectors including TS, TD, HTS, BBS, BBD, BBL, BDL, and BHS. The insulator material is black glass-filled polyester, while the contacts are made from beryllium copper with brass shells, available with gold or tin plating options. This socket has an operating temperature range of -55¬8C to +125¬8C with gold plating and -55¬8C to +105¬8C with tin plating. It offers a contact resistance of 10 mOc and a standard insertion force of 9 oz (2.50 N) on average. The socket is RoHS compliant and lead-free solderable, suitable for wave soldering.
