The insulator material varies between black glass-filled polyester for the MTSW series and natural liquid crystal polymer for the HMTSW series. The terminals are made of phosphor bronze with plating options including gold or tin over nickel. The operating temperature range is -55 °C to +125 °C for gold-plated versions and -55 °C to +105 °C for tin-plated versions. The MTSW series is not lead-free solderable, while the HMTSW series is compatible with lead-free soldering processes. The headers are available in multiple post heights and can be specified for various lead styles, including straight and right-angle configurations.
