The Card Edge Connector, Dual Side, 40Pos, SMD (part number 79R8996) is designed for surface mount applications with a card thickness of 1.57 mm. It features 40 contacts and is constructed with a black LCP insulator and BeCu contacts, available with either tin or gold plating over nickel. The connector supports a current rating of 2.2 A per pin and a voltage rating of 300 VAC, with an operating temperature range from -55¬8C to +125¬8C. This connector is RoHS compliant and is lead-free solderable, with a maximum lead coplanarity of 0.10 mm for smaller positions and 0.15 mm for larger ones. It is optimized for 50Oc applications but may also perform adequately in 75Oc configurations. The connector is compatible with a 1.60 mm card and offers optional alignment pins for improved mating accuracy.
