Saint-Gobain Coating Solutions designs & produces complete turnkey plasma spray systems, providing the integrated components that deliver maximum spray rates & deposition efficiency while significantly reducing energy consumption.
The system features Saint-Gobain’s patented ProPlasma HP spray gun, which yields deposition rates three to four times higher than conventional plasma spray guns and is suitable for a wide range of thermal spray applications.
The ProPlasma spray system is based on a Siemens PLC programmable logic control system. Easy-to-use automatic & manual modes allow the operator to monitor & control gun power, powder flow rate, gas flow rates, water cooling conditions & other key spray parameters for optimal performance.
Saint-Gobain offers two closed loop and open loop powder feeders, that provide capacity starting at 1.5 L. The ProPlasma Spray Guns are remote controlled, either by a robot or an XY manipulator. The system is designed to meet additional upgrades for future needs.
ProPlasma Spray System Components
ProPlasma control unit -- features Siemens PLC programmable logic controller along with mass flow meters for gas regulation
ProPlasma controller – features Siemens industrial touch screen control board with 30.5 cm (12”) TFT display
ProPlasma PR80-8 power source – operates up to 65 kW (88 hp) up to 800 amps
ProPlasma DP TWIN powder feeder – an open-loop dual feeder designed for multi-layer coatings
ProPlasma DP CL powder feeder – a closed-loop single feeder; suitable for electronic & semiconductor applications
