Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics - High Performance Seals, Polymer Components and Springs Meldin® Basic Shape Disk

Description
The Meldin® product family is the most complete range of polyimide and engineered thermoplastic materials available on the market today. These materials are available in compression or injection molded and machined components, as well as basic shapes for the ultimate in customization and design flexibility. The Meldin series materials retain their critical properties over a temperature range from cryogenic through +600°F (+315°C) for continuous operation, and may be used intermittently up to +900°F (+482°C). Superior strength and rigidity, combined with self-lubricating properties, provide long, maintenance-free service for critical applications in engines, medical devices, aircraft and aerospace systems, electronic apparatus, and industrial equipment, to name just a few. Our team of highly skilled professionals works closely with our customers by applying extensive materials knowledge and manufacturing expertise to generate customized solutions for even the most challenging applications. Whether it is a single prototype or a multimillion-piece production run, the Meldin series affords a choice of high performance polymers that can address all severe service applications where design parameters include temperature extremes, high loads and speeds, extended wear properties, and broad chemical compatibility. Features and Benefits Available in compression or injection molded and machined components, as well as basic shapes for the ultimate in customization and design flexibility. Cryogenic to +315°C for continuous, intermittently up to +482°C Superior strength and rigidity Self-lubricating properties
