CHR C665 is a foil-copper pressure sensitive adhesive tape featuring a conductive acrylic adhesive. It is designed for applications requiring electrical conductivity throughout its construction. The tape has a total thickness of 0.089 mm (3.5 mil) and a backing thickness of 0.038 mm (1.5 mil). It exhibits a surface resistance of 0.0065 ohms/in¬= and a volume resistance of 0.01 ohms/in¬=, making it suitable for EMI/RFI shielding applications. The adhesion to steel is rated at 3.8 N/cm (35 oz/in), and it maintains a tensile strength of 123 N/cm (70 lb/in). The operating temperature range is from -40 to +121 ¬8C (-40 to +250 ¬8F). C665 is available in widths of 610 mm (24 in) and lengths of 16.5 m and 33 m (18 yd and 36 yd), and can be slit to various widths. The product meets UL510 flame retardant specifications and is resistant to solvents.
CHR C665 is manufactured from electrically deposited copper foil backing with acrylic adhesive. The copper foil and adhesive of C665 are both electrically conductive and the release liner aids in die cutting and is easy to apply.
