Safran Helicopter Engines Auxiliary Power Unit Saphir 10

Description
In order to comply with the dimensional constraints of small aircraft such as training aeroplanes, Microturbo has developed the Saphir 10 Auxiliary Power Unit which powers the recent versions of the BAE SYSTEMS Hawk, in particular for the AJT (Advance Jet Trainer) fleets of the English RAF (Royal Air Force) but also for the Australian and South African air forces. This APU provides the pneumatic power required for the air turbine starter developed by Microturbo for the main engine as well as 12 kVA of electrical power. It also provides output for cockpit air conditioning.
