The device includes an internal temperature-compensated reference, a latching pulse width modulator, and a high-gain error amplifier, which contribute to its efficiency and reliability. Key protective features include cycle-by-cycle current limiting, undervoltage lockout with hysteresis, and thermal shutdown.
