The LM2738YSD/NOPB is a high-frequency, monolithic PWM step-down DC-DC converter designed for efficient local DC-DC conversion. It operates with an input voltage range of 3V to 20V and provides an output voltage range from 0.8V to 18V, capable of delivering up to 1.5A of output current. The device features a 250m,Ѷ internal NMOS switch and offers two selectable switching frequencies of 550kHz or 1.6MHz, allowing for the use of compact surface-mount inductors and capacitors. The LM2738YSD/NOPB is equipped with several protective features, including thermal shutdown, cycle-by-cycle current limit, and output over-voltage protection. It also includes an internal soft-start function to minimize in-rush current and has a low shutdown current of 400nA. The device is available in an 8-pin WSON package, making it suitable for applications where space is a constraint, such as in battery-powered devices, set-top boxes, and DSL modems.
