The RT9173CPSP is a high-speed linear regulator designed for DDR memory systems, compliant with JEDEC SSTL_2 and SSTL_18 standards, as well as other interfaces like HSTL, SCSI-2, and SCSI-3. It can actively sink or source up to 2A while maintaining an output voltage regulation within 40mV. The output voltage can be adjusted using two external resistors or programmed via the REFEN pin. This regulator features a high-speed differential amplifier for rapid response to line/load transients, low initial offset voltage, excellent load regulation, and built-in current limiting and thermal shutdown protection. It is packaged in an SOP-8 (Exposed Pad) format, which aids in thermal performance when properly mounted. The RT9173CPSP is suitable for applications in desktop PCs, notebooks, graphics cards, digital TVs, and embedded systems. It is RoHS compliant and compatible with both Pb-free and SnPb soldering processes.
