The RT8481A is a secondary-side constant current (CC) and constant voltage (CV) controller designed for switch-mode power supply (SPS) applications. It operates within a voltage range of 4.75V to 50V and features a low quiescent current of 0.6mA. The device integrates a CC regulating amplifier with a 60mV reference voltage for accurate current sensing, and a CV regulating amplifier with a 2.5V reference voltage for output voltage regulation. The CC and CV amplifiers share a common open-collector output pin, simplifying the application circuit.
