The RT8115CGQW is a high-efficiency synchronous Buck DC/DC controller designed for 5V to 12V supply voltage applications. It features Green Voltage Mode (GVM,Ñ¢) control, which enhances efficiency at light loads by automatically switching to diode emulation mode with constant on-time PFM. As load current increases, it transitions to continuous conduction mode with fixed frequency PWM, operating at a frequency of 300kHz. This controller includes integrated high-driving capability N-MOSFET gate drivers, supporting up to 12V for high output current applications. It employs a lossless low-side MOSFET R_DS(ON) current sensing technique for over-current protection, with an adjustable threshold set via the LGATE pin. Additional features include power good indication, enable/disable control, internal soft-start, and multiple fault protection mechanisms such as over-voltage, under-voltage, and over-temperature protection. The RT8115CGQW is packaged in a compact WDFN-10L 3x3 format, making it suitable for applications such as motherboards, graphic cards, and low voltage, high current DC/DC regulation.
