The RT4841GQW is a synchronous boost converter designed specifically for active matrix thin film transistor (TFT) liquid crystal displays (LCDs). It features a wide input voltage range of 8.6V to 15.9V and is capable of delivering a minimum switching current of 5A. The device incorporates current mode, fixed-frequency pulse width modulation (PWM) circuitry, along with fully integrated synchronous power and rectifier switches, each with an on-resistance of 80mOc, which contributes to high efficiency and rapid transient response. Additionally, the RT4841GQW includes an isolation MOSFET controller for managing the power-on sequence of the step-up converter. It operates at a fixed switching frequency of 500kHz and is equipped with various protection features, including under-voltage lockout, over-temperature protection, and cycle-by-cycle overcurrent protection.
