The ISL6612BIRZ is a high-frequency MOSFET driver designed for synchronous rectified buck converters in POL DC/DC applications, particularly for Intel® and AMD® microprocessors. It comes in a 10-lead 3x3 mm dual flat no-lead (DFN) package with an exposed bottom copper pad for enhanced heat sinking. The device drives the upper and lower N-Channel MOSFETs with adaptive zero shoot-through protection, a three-state PWM input for output shutdown, and pre-POR overvoltage protection. It supports operating temperatures from -40°C to +85°C and operates with a VCC supply range of 7V to 13.2V and PVCC from 5V to 12V. The driver features a 36V internal bootstrap Schottky diode, gate drive voltages adjustable from 5V to 12V, and supports switching frequencies up to 2MHz. It is RoHS compliant and meets the Pb-free reflow requirements of IPC/JEDEC J-STD-020.
