The ISL6612A is a high-frequency MOSFET driver for synchronous rectified buck converters in microprocessor core regulators. It is offered in an 8-lead SOIC package (M8.15 outline) with an operating temperature range of 0°C to +85°C. The driver provides adjustable gate drive voltage (5V to 12V) for the lower MOSFET via PVCC, while the upper gate is fixed at VCC. It integrates adaptive zero shoot-through protection, a 36V internal bootstrap Schottky diode, and pre-POR overvoltage protection. The device supports up to 2MHz switching frequency, with 2A upper gate sink current and 3A lower gate sink current. It features a three-state PWM input and is RoHS compliant. Power dissipation is limited to 800mW in SOIC packaging.
