The ISL6609IRZ is a synchronous rectified MOSFET driver designed to control two N-Channel power MOSFETs in a buck converter topology for high-efficiency core voltage regulation in advanced microprocessors. It is packaged in an 8-lead 3x3 mm QFN format with an exposed thermal pad for improved heat dissipation. The device operates from a 5V ±10% supply, features adaptive shoot-through protection, a 4A typical sink current on the lower gate driver, and an internal bootstrap diode. It supports switching frequencies up to 1 MHz with rise and fall times under 10 ns for a 3nF load. The part operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and is RoHS compliant.
