The ISL6596CRZ is a synchronous MOSFET driver designed to drive two N-channel power MOSFETs in a synchronous buck converter topology, optimized for high efficiency in microprocessor core voltage regulation. It is packaged in a 10-lead 3mm x 3mm dual flat no-lead (DFN) package with an exposed thermal pad for improved heat dissipation. The device operates from a single 5V supply, provides 4A typical sink current on the lower gate driver, and features adaptive shoot-through protection, fast output rise and fall times (8ns typical for UGATE, 4ns for LGATE), and tri-state PWM input support for 3.3V and 5V controllers. It meets RoHS standards and is qualified for operation from 0°C to +70°C ambient temperature.
