Renesas Electronics Corporation Power Management - Specialized ISL6537CR

The ISL6537CR is an ACPI compliant power management integrated circuit designed for dual-channel DDR/DDR2 memory systems, capable of supporting up to four DIMMs. It features a synchronous buck controller that supplies VDDQ during active and sleep states, along with a fully integrated sink-source regulator that generates a high current VTT voltage at VDDQ/2 without requiring a negative supply. The device includes two linear regulator controllers for GMCH core voltage regulation and CPU/GMCH VTT termination voltage regulation. This product operates with a maximum static regulation tolerance of ±2% across various conditions, and its output voltage is adjustable down to 0.8V using external resistors. The ISL6537CR incorporates several protection features, including undervoltage, overvoltage, and overcurrent protection, as well as thermal shutdown. It is packaged in a 28-lead 6x6 QFN format and is suitable for applications in ACPI compliant PCs, graphics cards, ASIC power supplies, and embedded systems.
