The ISL6535IRZ-T is a synchronous buck pulse-width modulator (PWM) controller designed for high-performance DC/DC converter applications. It operates from a +12V input and can regulate output voltages as low as 0.597V with a tolerance of ±1% over the commercial temperature range and ±1.5% over the industrial range. The controller features a simple single feedback loop with voltage-mode control, providing fast transient response and a programmable oscillator frequency ranging from 50kHz to over 1.5MHz. The ISL6535IRZ-T includes integrated overcurrent protection that utilizes the rDS(ON) of the upper MOSFET, eliminating the need for an external current sensing resistor. It supports a full PWM duty cycle from 0% to 100% and is capable of starting up into prebiased loads. The device is available in a 16-lead QFN package and is RoHS compliant. Applications include power supplies for various CPUs and high-power DC/DC regulators.
