The ISL6527ACB is a single synchronous buck pulse-width modulation (PWM) controller designed for DC/DC step-down converters. It operates with input voltages ranging from 3.3V to 5V and is capable of driving N-Channel MOSFETs in a synchronous buck topology. The device integrates control, output adjustment, monitoring, and protection functions into a compact package, simplifying the design process. This controller features a voltage-mode control with a fast transient response, supported by a high bandwidth error amplifier with a 15MHz gain-bandwidth product and a 6V/Oºs slew rate. The PWM duty cycle can be adjusted from 0% to 100%, allowing for flexible output voltage regulation down to the external reference voltage. Overcurrent protection is implemented through monitoring the rDS(ON) of the upper MOSFET, eliminating the need for a current sense resistor and enhancing efficiency.
