The ISL6526IR is a single synchronous buck pulse-width modulation (PWM) controller designed to drive N-Channel MOSFETs in a step-down converter configuration. It operates with input voltages ranging from 3.3V to 5V and can regulate output voltages as low as 0.8V with a tolerance of ¬±1.5% across temperature and line voltage variations. The device features a simple single-loop voltage-mode control, which enhances design efficiency and reduces complexity. The ISL6526IR includes a high-bandwidth error amplifier with a 15MHz gain-bandwidth product and a slew rate of 6V/Oºs, enabling fast transient response and a full duty cycle range of 0% to 100%. It incorporates lossless, programmable overcurrent protection by monitoring the rDS(ON) of the upper MOSFET, eliminating the need for a current sense resistor and improving overall efficiency.
