The ISL6225CA-T is a dual PWM controller designed for high efficiency and tight voltage regulation in applications such as DDR DRAM, SDRAM, and graphic chipsets. It operates with an output voltage range of 0.9V to 5.5V and features synchronous buck conversion with hysteretic operation at light loads. The device supports dual input voltage modes, functioning directly from battery inputs of 5V to 24V or from 3.3V or 5V system rails. This regulator includes advanced features such as automatic mode selection for constant-frequency synchronous rectification at heavy loads and hysteretic diode-emulation at light loads. It provides a complete DDR memory power solution, with the second channel output (CH2) tracking the first channel output (CH1) for VTT applications. The ISL6225CA-T also incorporates built-in protections, including under-voltage lock-out, overvoltage protection, and adjustable overcurrent protection. The device is packaged in a 28-lead SSOP and operates within a temperature range of -10¬8C to 85¬8C. It is RoHS compliant and available in a Pb-free version. However, it is noted that this part is not recommended for new designs, with the ISL6227 suggested as a replacement.
