The IDTF0480 is a digital variable gain amplifier (DVGA) designed for RF applications, operating within a frequency range of 400 MHz to 2700 MHz. It provides a typical maximum gain of 13 dB with a noise figure of 4 dB and allows for gain adjustments of up to 23 dB in 1 dB steps. The amplifier is optimized for use with a single 5 V supply and has a current consumption of approximately 100 mA, with a standby current of 1.3 mA. This device features excellent linearity with an output third-order intercept point (OIP3) of +41 dBm, making it suitable for high-performance applications. The IDTF0480 is packaged in a compact 5x5 mm 32-pin thin QFN format, with 50-ohm single-ended RF input and output impedances, facilitating easy integration into existing systems. It is internally matched, eliminating the need for external matching components, which simplifies design and reduces board space. Applications for the IDTF0480 include multi-mode and multi-carrier receivers, base stations for various communication standards (such as PCS1900, DCS1800, WiMAX, LTE, and UMTS/WCDMA), point-to-point infrastructure, public safety systems, broadband repeaters, GPS receivers, and distributed antenna systems.
