The device operates in three modes: frequency synthesizer, high-bandwidth frequency translator, and low-bandwidth frequency translator, making it suitable for a wide array of applications including PCI Express and general-purpose computing. The device features two individually programmable outputs that can be configured as LVPECL or LVDS, with selectable output voltage levels of 2.5V or 3.3V.
