Our 8806 series features the 3-prong, South African Plug (SANS 60799) with an ROJ.
These South African power cords are ideal for powering your custom equipment. This power cord will plug into the standard South African wall outlet on one end and will hard-wire into your equipment on the other end.
Shielded wire uses a conductive lining to disperse any external electromagnetic interference and reduce any internal high-frequency noise. This protects the flow of electricity from electromagnetic fields created by other devices, and also protects the external environment from any electromagnetic field created by the power cord itself.
An ROJ, or Removed Outer Jacket, is the result of stripping the exterior jacket from the power cord and exposing the conductors for the purpose of hard-wiring the cord into your equipment. Our standard ROJ includes the removal of 2 inches (51mm) of jacket and of 1/4 inch (6mm) of conductor insulation.
