Our 8618 series features the standard, 3-prong, European Schuko Plug (CEE 7/7) with the Up Angle IEC-60320-C13 Connector. IEC60309 cords are internationally approved power cords that adhere to IEC-60309-1 regulations. They are mainly designed for industrial applications and high power connections. These cords carry various IP ratings (Ingress Protection) which indicate different levels of protection against splashes of liquid and dust. The circular housings of these plugs and sockets are color coded based on the voltage: Yellow for 125V, Blue for 250V and Red for 400V. People also like to call them Pins & Sleeves or Commando plugs/sockets. These power cords are the standard cords used for monitors, computers, printers, scanners, TVs, sound systems, and many more devices & appliances which use the IEC-60320-C14 inlet. This is the European equivalent of the 2500 series, the North American PC Power Cord. This up angle power cord is ideal for use in confined spaces because it eliminates stress placed on the conductors and strain relief. The definition of an up angle connector is that when facing the equipment with the connector installed ground-pin-up, the cord trails up and away from the equipment. The 8618.012 is a European power cord that carries the European and GOST approvals and is rated at 10A - 250V.
