Our 8500 series features the standard, 3-prong, European Schuko Plug (CEE 7/7) with The IEC-60320-C13 Connector with a Ground Lead. These power cords are recommended for use with monitors, computers, printers, scanners, TVs, sound systems, and many more devices & appliances which use the IEC-60320-C14 inlet. These power cords feature a ground wire. We incorporated a Ground Lead on this C13 to add an extra layer of fault protection. In the event of an electrical short in your equipment, the Ground Lead will efficiently disperse any potential electrical charge that has built up in the housing or frame of your device. The Ground Lead must be properly installed to provide reliable protection. The 8500.118S is a European power cord that carries the European, EAC, and KETI approvals and is rated at 10A - 250V.
