Our 5109 series features the standard, domestic, 3-prong, North American Plug (NEMA 5-15P) with the Right Angle IEC-60320-C13 Connector. These power cords are the standard cords used for monitors, computers, printers, scanners, TVs, sound systems, and many more devices & appliances which have the IEC-60320-C14 inlet. The plug end inserts into any standard NEMA wall outlet or any NEMA 5-15R receptacle. This right angle power cord is ideal for use in confined spaces because it eliminates stress placed on the conductors and strain relief. The definition of a right angle connector is that when facing the equipment with the connector installed ground-pin-up, the cord trails away to your right-hand side. Shielded wire uses a conductive lining to disperse any external electromagnetic interference and reduce any internal high-frequency noise. This protects the flow of electricity from electromagnetic fields created by other devices, and also protects the external environment from any electromagnetic field created by the power cord itself. The 5109.216 carries the UL and C-UL approvals and is rated at 15A - 125V.
