Our 5071 series features the 3-prong North American NEMA 5-20P Plug with the Right Angle IEC-60320-C19 Connector. These North American power cords are the recommended cords for networking, laboratory, and communications equipment. They connect on one end to the NEMA 5-20R wall outlet and on the other end to PDUs, servers, and UPSs or any device featuring a C20 inlet. This right angle power cord is ideal for use in confined spaces because it eliminates stress placed on the conductors and strain relief. The definition of a right angle connector is that when facing the equipment with the connector installed ground-pin-up, the cord trails away to your right-hand side. Shielded wire uses a conductive lining to disperse any external electromagnetic interference and reduce any internal high-frequency noise. This protects the flow of electricity from electromagnetic fields created by other devices, and also protects the external environment from any electromagnetic field created by the power cord itself. The 5071.072 carries the UL and C-UL approvals and is rated at 20A - 125V.
