Our 4952 AL series features the standard, domestic, 3-prong, North American Plug (NEMA 5-15P) with the IEC-60320-C15 Up Angle Auto-Lock Connector. The IEC Auto-Lock C15 is an internal mechanism that holds the pins of the C14 or C16 Plug or Inlet to keep your device from being accidentally unplugged! These components are sturdy yet unplug with ease whenever you want to remove the power cord! These North American power cords are ideal for powering devices that generate lots of heat. For this purpose, these cords are rated at 120C. On one end, these cords plug into the standard North American wall outlet or receptacle, and on the other end they connect to any equipment using either the IEC-60320 C16 or C14 inlet. This up angle power cord is ideal for use in confined spaces because it eliminates stress placed on the conductors and strain relief. The definition of an up angle connector is that when facing the equipment with the connector installed ground-pin-up, the cord trails up and away from the equipment. The 4952.072AL carries the UL and C-UL approvals and is rated at 15A - 125V.
