Our 0586 series features the domestic, 2-prong, North American Polarized Quick Release Plug (NEMA 1-15P Polarized) with the IEC-60320-C7 Connector Quick Release. These 2-conductor North American power cords are recommended for (un-grounded) laptops, notebooks, stereos, game consoles, electric razors, and many more devices. On one end they plug into any North American outlet or receptacle, and on the other they connect to any device using the IEC-60320-C8 Inlet. The IEC-60320-C7 is also referred to as the Figure-8 connector. This NEMA 1-15P Polarized incorporates a design feature consisting of an enlarged neutral prong/blade. The enlarged prong/blade allows the plug to be inserted into an outlet in only one manner, guaranteeing that electricity circulates only one way through the cord. A Quick Release is a thumb lever that easily ejects the plug or connector from a receptacle or plug. This feature reduces the amount of force necessary to remove your power cord and rearrange your equipment. It also eliminates the ??yanking? problem thus the deterioration/split of the conductors inside the cord. The 0586.072 carries the UL and C-UL approvals and is rated at 10A - 125V.
