Our 0585 series features the domestic, 3-prong, North American Quick Release Plug (NEMA 5-15P) with the IEC-60320-C5 Quick Release Connector. These are the recommended North American power cords used for grounded (3-conductor) laptops, notebooks, stereos, game consoles, and electric razors, as well as many other devices. These power cords connect on one end to the standard North American wall outlet or 5-15R receptacle, and on the other to any electronic device or appliance using an IEC-60320-C6 inlet. The IEC-60320-C5 is also known as the Mickey-Mouse connector, and on these power cords, both the plug and the connector feature the helpful Quick Release feature. A Quick Release is a thumb lever that easily ejects the plug or connector from a receptacle or plug. This feature reduces the amount of force necessary to remove your power cord and rearrange your equipment. It also eliminates the ??yanking? problem thus the deterioration/split of the conductors inside the cord. The 0585.072 carries the UL and C-UL approvals and is rated at 10A - 125V.
