Our 0415 series features the standard, domestic, 3-prong, North American Plug (NEMA 5-15P) with a 2-splitter (Y-Cord) that has two (2) IEC-60320-C15 Connectors. These multi leg North American power cords are ideal for powering devices that generate lots of heat. For this purpose, these cords are rated at 120C. On one end, these cords plug into the standard North American wall outlet or receptacle, and on the other end they connect to any equipment using either the IEC-60320 C16 or C14 inlet. These cords power 2 devices while only using 1 outlet, so we refer to them as space-savers. Shielded wire uses a conductive lining to disperse any external electromagnetic interference and reduce any internal high-frequency noise. This protects the flow of electricity from electromagnetic fields created by other devices, and also protects the external environment from any electromagnetic field created by the power cord itself. The 0415.072D carries the UL and C-UL approvals and is rated at 13A - 125V.
