Hinged Flood Barriers are designed specifically for the height of water protection you require. The HSS-550 and HPS-555 Hinged Flood Barriers operate similar to a swing door. The flood protection is permanently installed at the door opening, and is stored in the open position. During times of eminent flooding conditions, the Hinged Flood Barrier swings closed and is latched, providing flooding protection. Depending upon the size of the opening, the Hinged Flood Barrier is available in a single swing or paired swing configuration.
Since the Hinged Flood Barrier is already present at the opening it's protecting, reaction time to emplace a flood barrier is reduced and required minimal personnel to place.
