The ProLinx family IEC60870-5-104 Server to IEC60870-5-103 Master communications module (5201-104S-103M) creates a powerful connection between devices on an IEC 104 network and an IEC 103 slave device. The module is a stand-alone DIN-rail mounted protocol gateway that provides one Ethernet port and one IEC 103 Master configurable serial port. The 104S module accepts commands from an attached master unit on the network and generates unsolicited messages. The IEC 60870-5-103 Master (103M) protocol driver works as a master to monitor and control up to 16 slaves.
