The ProLinx family IEC60870-5-103 Master to PROFIBUS DP Slave communications module (5105-103M-PDPS) creates a powerful connection between devices on an IEC 103 network and a PROFIBUS DP slave device. The module, encased in aluminum (ProLinx Plus 5000 series), is a stand-alone DIN-rail mounted protocol gateway that provides one PROFIBUS DP Slave configurable DB9F port and one IEC 103 Master configurable serial port. The PROFIBUS DP Slave (PDPS) protocol interface supports the PROFIBUS V0 Slave implementation protocol, providing powerful data transfer capability between the ProLinx module and Siemens PLCs or other hosts. User configurable data mapping and DP port operation make the interface an easy to use and powerful data transfer tool. The IEC 60870-5-103 Master (103M) protocol driver works as a master to monitor and control up to 16 slaves. The serial port is user-configurable, providing a very powerful and flexible host or device interface solution.
